When they're not offering pest control against seagulls and pigeons, cowboy falconer Mike Shore and his birds of prey like to deliver an unforgettable experience to audiences of all ages. Mike speaks about the art of falconry, the adaptations of each species, and the unique personalities of his working birds - then it's your turn to wear the falconry glove and hold Emmylou, the Harris Hawk!

Sports Discovery Camp
Sports Discovery Camp provides sports experiences through fun, engaging activities that encourage children to be healthy in body and mind for life. Children are introduced to traditional and new sports, also create their own!
Our unique program is specially designed to integrate self-confidence, teamwork and leadership skills into our drills, our games and our activities. Every activity and game has a purpose. Campers have fun playing sports they love and don’t even realize they are learning these critical life skills. But we do. And you will.
We don’t build athletes for sport. We build people through sport.

2019 Fair Ambassador
Salutations! I am beyond grateful to have had the honour to represent not only the Embro Fair, but the Embro and Zorra Agricultural Society as the 2018-2019 Fair Ambassador. I feel incredibly honoured to have been able to represent our Agricultural Society at a vast variety of occasions. It was amazing to meet other Ambassadors and other Agricultural Societies at the District 7 meeting as well as the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) Convention in Toronto.
I am extremely excited to participate in the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) for the Ambassador of the Fairs competition; it will be wonderful to bond with some more of the other ambassadors! I tell you, I could not believe just how many fairs there are within our little Ontario; it was wonderful to see just what makes everyone unique. Some didn't even know what a baby show was!
This year, the theme for our fair is "Say Cheese!" which is quite a gouda topic in my opinion. It will be quite interesting to see how people will incorporate this theme into the exhibits and how the creative juices will be challenged. I am interested to see how much people will incorporate the cheesy theme or how much they know about the dairy industry in our community.
I would like to thank the Embro and Zorra Agricultural Society, the Embro Fair Board, and the previous fair ambassadors for their wonderful support throughout this year, it was graciously appreciated! Also, it is incredibly important that I extend a great deal of thanks as well to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock for sponsoring me, without your support I can say that I would not be where I am today. I also want to thank Marian Sterk for being the best chaperone an ambassador could ask for! I also want to thank Nicole Barnett and Marian for being there, as well as helping to make my experience at the OAAS convention truly fantastic! I also want to thank my family and friends, who have supported me in all forms on my adventure this year; I am truly grateful for each and every one of you.
Finally, I want to thank the community- truly I want to extend a warm thank you to all the support I have received throughout my time, it will never go unnoticed. I have to say, that this incredible experience has shaped a better understanding of social networking, my self confidence, and overall personal growth.
I truly want to wish all of the 2019 participants the best of luck. The day of the competition will come fast and will be a whirlwind of excitement and pride; don't forget to cherish it deeply. I hope that my story will convince others in the community to follow this leadership program, because I had such a wonderful time and cannot believe how fast it has flown by. It is a time in my life that I will treasure forever, because being an ambassador showed me just how far I have come; while also showing me how much more growing I have left to do.
